Mee Hoon Kueh


Mee Hoon

200g flour

100g water


250g ground pork

Some seasame oil

Some ground white pepper

Some Salt


3 cloves Garlic minced

6 cups Water

1 teaspoon Chicken Stock powder


Mix all ingredients for the meat together

Make Mee Hoon Kueh

Make a hole in flour and put in salt, water, baking soda. Mix until you have the following and rest 30 minutes. if too tough add water and if too sticky add flour

Prepare a big pot of boiling water. When water is boiling, pinch the dough into small pieces and flatten with your fingers and throw into boiling water. Cook for 1 minute and take out.

Making the soup
Add cooking oil and garlic, saute until aromatic.

Add chicken broth and bring to boil.

When ready to serve
Method 1 (from

Portion Mee Hoon Kueh into individual serving bowl, bring soup to boil. Scoop one to two teaspoon of meat and cook until meat float. Add spinach. Scoop veggies, meat out and portion into bowl.

Pour soup into bowl.

Method 2 (from

Add in minced meat, Mee Hoon Kueh and spinach, cook until all are cooked, pour into bowl.

Method 3 (my method)

Add in minced meat, spinach and cook until all are cooked.

Portion Mee Hoon Kueh into individual bowl. Portion spinach, pork into bowl.
